In Loving Memory - John-Michael Kennedy

In Loving Memory - John-Michael David Kennedy
2003 - 2025

We are saddened to share the passing of another honorary member of The Novas. John-Michael Kennedy joined our team during the 2018-2019 season as part of our partnership with the Children’s Wish Foundation. He will always be remembered as part of our hockey family, and his courage, positivity, and warm spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege to meet him.

“John-Michael passed away August 10th, 2025, at his home on Granville Street where he was born and raised in Port Hawkesbury. John-Michael was a 22 year old, young man who lived with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy his whole life, but he never let that stop him from living his best life.”

Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.

Once a Nova, always a Nova.
