Checking Clinics
2023 Hawks Checking Clinics
Checking Clinics are required for any new U15 players (U13 players moving up to U15 for the 2023-24 season) or any current U15/U18 players who wish to play contact hockey in 2023-24 and have yet to take the checking clinic.
The Checking clinic will offer logical progressions necessary for players to learn the skill of checking. It is important that players learn the proper way to give and receive a check to increase the safety of our game. We will help build contact confidence and stress the importance of respect on the ice in a contact environment.
Please note: Goalies do not need checking clinic.
Players must complete the clinic in its entirety to become certified.
